Yeah, The Mr. made me keep going with my Valentine projects.
He usually does not have any idea what project I am working on...what it is for...where I will hang it...which room in the house will I put it. But on this one, he noticed me :)
I was hoping to make a heart pillow from a red shirt but did not succeeded.
Tried hot gluing it but it difficult to work around the cloth - FAILED.
And then this is how the conversation went:
The Mr.: You gotta have a break from whatever you're doing hon.
Me: {with a frown in my face} I FAILED with this project hon, I failed, I failed, I failed....
The Mr.: No, you did not...you just found 10,000 wrong ways of doing it.
Me: Huh!
The Mr.: {he looks up & pointed to the light bulb} That's what Thomas Edison said.
Me: {looking puzzled} Thomas who?
{the only Thomas I know is my brother in law & of course Thomas of Thomas & Friends, lol}
{the only Thomas I know is my brother in law & of course Thomas of Thomas & Friends, lol}
The Mr.: {laughing} That guy who invented the light bulb said he has not failed, he found 10,000 ways that won't work.
Me: {smile} Really?..thank you hon...
The Mr.: {winked at me}
Me: {blushing}Yeah, he still makes me blush...***blushing***
The Mr. is right, sometimes we have to stop doing what we are doing to evaluate what is not working and learn from it.
Because I am not a very patient person, I tend to pursue something that I thought I could make but not really....
So The Mr. actually helped me realize that even if I try and fail, it does not mean that I did not learn something...he's the best :)
